The 2009 Golden Heart Awards

& Mrs. Ali C. Razi, we thank every one for supporting our 2009
Golden Heart Awards! The evening was absolutely spectacular as we
honored Councilmember Jan Perry with the Golden Heart Award and
presented Norman Harris with the Spirit of the Golden Heart Award. Dick
Van Dyke, Richie Sambora, Fritz Coleman, Ed Begley, Jr., Garret Morris,
Larry Miller, Mike Campbell of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers &
the Dirty Knobs, Elliot Easton of The Cars, Jeff Lynne of the Electric
LIght Orchestra, and other notables showed up to pay tribute to our
two generous and deserving honorees. The evening's proceeds were in
excess of $240,000 with a beautiful silent auction that included a
Floyd Rose Guitar signed by the entire Bon Jovi Band, Lasik eye surgery
valued at $6,500 donated by Assil Eye Institute, the "Circle of Love"
5ct. Diamond Necklace created especially in honor of the Golden Heart
Awards and many other incredible and unique items.
