Let me hear you scream. This here’s reality. And the only American Idol you need to see is standing right here. Are you with me? Are you with me? Let me hear you.”
San Antonio brought their screams and Jon Bon Jovi brought them lucky charms as he walked on stage at the AT&T Center on Thursday night to a sold out crowd at his concert.
Bon Jovi seized the stage to a roar even louder than Lady Gaga’s crowd brought to the venue only two nights before.
The band, complete with long time members Richie Sambora, Tico Torres and David Bryan were timeless with their presentations of Runaway, The More Things Change, You Want to Make a Memory and It’s My Life.
Hugh McDonald joined him front center for a rich, raw and rocking cover of Roy Orbison’s Pretty Woman.
Just when we thought he had consumed about as much energy as most rockers half his age, Bon Jovi would defy time performing upbeat and invigorated, especially with I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead.
He closed the show with a two song encore of Wanted Dead or Alive and Livin’ on a Prayer.
Bon Jovi's next Texas performance is at the Toyota Center in Houston on May 17th.
During a time when many road acts are struggling to stay profitable, it is no wonder Bon Jovi (the #1 profitable act of 2010 with over $200 million in sales)has found a solid pot of gold.
