POP/ROCK Bon Jovi, Mohegan Sun, 8 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday The 1980s
hard-rock bands that have survived with popularity intact are the two
that have done their best to distance themselves from that scene: Def
Leppard and Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi has gone so far as to refashion itself
as a band with country roots. Makes sense considering that there's not
much difference between a light rock anthem like 'You Give Love a Bad
Name' and a country sing-along. At this point, the New Jersey band has
built up enough material to fill a very long show and let's face it,
there are worse rock stars than Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora.
